Titanium Security Suite 7.0 – Now Available
Groundbreaking New Software Release Secures Applications and Data From the Inside Out
Washington, DC, September 6, 2019 — Star Lab Corporation announced today that Titanium Security Suite 7.0 for Linux (Titanium 7.0) has been released and is now available for immediate program integration. This latest release has been substantially improved to support certification requirements for Commercial Solutions for Classified (CSfC) from the National Security Agency.
According to CEO Irby Thompson, “CSfC certification for Titanium is a major evolution for our security-minded customers using Linux. Titanium 7.0 builds upon our pedigree of providing the most advanced hardened security available for open source operating systems, and now includes NIST-approved FIPS 140-2 algorithms for the x86 platform. Our development team has been hard at work on the Titanium 7.0 release since early last year, and we look forward to completing the CSfC classified data-at-rest certification process within the next few months.”
Titanium 7.0 now includes several new features, including FortiFDE and AuthFS. These capabilities provide block layer encryption (i.e. software full-disk encryption) and authenticated file systems, respectively. The AuthFS capability is the foundation for full–system whitelisting, which will be unveiled in a near-term interim release. Runtime security and cryptographic performance have been improved by several code enhancements.
Titanium 7.0 also includes support for stacking SELinux – enabling programs to simultaneously achieve both object-based and user-based mandatory access control. SELinux stacking withTitanium 7.0 is an ideal solution for addressing NIST 800-53 cybersecurity and information assurance requirements, along with anti-tamper and data-at-rest protection requirements.
